General Manager
We are looking for a General Manager to take care of a new café and community shop in Kennington, Vauxhall as well as advise on food across the organisations.
​
The Community shop serves a growing community of service users from the local area, as well as offering hospitality to customers and visitors to the other partners on site with freshly cooked meals.
​
As our new general manager, you’ll play a vital role as the custodian of our community spaces and our food across the organisations.
​
You will be passionate about helping and supporting others.
​
You will have worked as a chef or professional cook for a minimum of 2 years and are as well as the ability to manage a team and take more ownership.
​
You will have some experience managing other people and be able to demonstrate leadership and teamwork, and have great interpersonal communication skills.
You will be a highly motivated individual that enjoys taking initiative.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about food and community.
You will be required to advise on weekly menus across the organisation.
​
You will have good word and excel skills and be able to create spreadsheets showing budgets and written menus, as well as other paperwork including staff rotas and ensure these are passed to others.
​
You will be responsible for recruitment of the cafe manager and assistant who will run day to day operations.
​
Experience in either brand marketing or commercial/sales is necessary, and ideally you would also have some experience in managing suppliers, and supply chains, if not you need to be open to learn these skills.
​
